The Sarah P. Duke Gardens welcomed the Traditional Building Conference to Durham, NC December 1-2, 2015. The North Carolina Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art was actively involved in the planning of the event, which was themed Materials and Methods. Several presentations, some of which included active participation, included information about plaster, masonry, landscape design, Duke University’s campus design, Duke University’s ongoing construction/preservation projects, landscape design, preservation of the U.S. Capitol, and more.
